Brad Snyder earned three letters in football and three more in baseball before graduating from Bellevue High School in 2000. He then had a successful college career in baseball and is currently in the Major Leagues.
Brad earned three letters in football while being named First Team All-Northern Ohio League in 1999, First Team All-District, and Honorable Mention All-Ohio. The Redmen went to the playoffs two straight years when Brad was a junior and senior, winning one playoff game vs. St. Mary’s Memorial along the way.
Brad has turned his love of baseball into a lifelong passion. It began in high school where he was Second Team All-NOL as a sophomore and Honorable Mention All-District. He led the team to the NOL title at 15-7 overall.
As a junior, Brad was First Team both All-NOL and All-District. He repeated those honors as a senior when the team went 17-7 overall as NOL runner-up, Sectional champs and District runner-up. He then played in the Mizuno All-Ohio All-Star game and was in the Buckeye Scout Top 100 players after his senior campaign.
Brad then attended Ball State University on a baseball scholarship, where he eventually became Mid-American Conference MVP, MAC Player of the Year in 2003, and was First Team All-America.
Brad was drafted in the First Round by the Cleveland Indians in 2003, the 18th pick overall. With the Indians, he was a Triple A Pacific Coast League All-Star. He has also spent time with the Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Today, Brad is a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Organization. Brad is married to Susan and they have one son. Brad and Susan reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana in the off season.
